071109 Friday Focus - Liana Thompson, Gospel for Asia
Liana Thompson leads our Sunday evening prayer meeting group with her husband David and two of their children Shannon and Samantha. They live in Slapout, Alabama and home-school their children.
In this podcast Liana makes her first of 7 presentations in a year for Gospel For Asia. That missionary organization is described on their website (www.gfa.org) as follows:
Planting Churches in Un-reached Areas
In each aspect of Gospel for Asia’s ministry, the primary aim is to plant churches among the un-reached — those who have never heard the Gospel.
Sending Native Missionaries
Gospel for Asia trains and sends native missionaries because they have proven extremely effective. They are already familiar with the language and culture, and they live at the level of the people they serve, thus removing many social barriers.
100 Percent Goes to the Field
Gospel for Asia sends 100 percent of the money you donate for work on the mission field to the field. Nothing is taken out for administrative expenses.
One of the free PowerPoint presentations from that website is included as graphics during the beginning of this podcast.
