Spencer Turnipseed is was born in Montgomery while his father was the pastor at Dexter from the mid 1940s to the mid 1950s. He his now the Registrar and Conference Administrator for the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Spencer also holds a two point charge at Oak Grove UMC in Troy, AL and Shady Grove UMC in Goshen AL.
Spencer’s message gives his rich and unique experience throughout his life that is integrally woven into the recent history of Dexter. We are privileged to have such a wonderful leader and friend whose heart and passion for the Lord comes out of past and leads into the promising future of compassion, hope and community with Dexter Avenue United Methodist Church.
