071101 Chaplain Nick Sabastian's Retirement Explanation
Nick Sabastian is recovering from recent health concerns. He has devoted at least 2 years of full-time voluntary chaplaincy for the fire, rescue and emergency communications services of Montgomery, Alabama.
This podcast is a brief (slightly more than 8 minute) impromptu explanation for Nick's new and adapted ministry with Eastmont Baptist Church and with Jackson Hospital Emergency Room chaplaincy. The decision to record this statement was last minute, but it is hoped that others who want to do this kind of work will recognize the indebtedness we owe to committed Christians like Nick for their tireless efforts and service in the name of Jesus Christ. It is appropriate that this podcast was made on All Saints Day. Nick is truly a saint - in spite of his predictable objection to that label. We pray that he will continue to bless others in whatever ministries he has yet to pursue before he is called to be with the Lord.
Thank you, Nick.
May the Lord keep you and protect you.
Yours in Christ,
Your fellow Chaplains (Eric, Monty, and Ron)
