Jean Stabler is a lay leader at Dalraida UMC. He helped to raise Sarah Shaver at that church. He and his wife remember when Sarah announced her decision to respond to the call to become a full-time pastor in the United Methodist Church. Now, Sarah pastors Capital Heights UMC half way down Madison Avenue to her home church, Dalraida UMC from our church neighborhood.
Jean Stabler sings "His Eye is One the Sparrow" accompanied by Pastor Ron Smith before Sarah Shaver gives the devotional message for this Friday Focus luncheon. Sarah then gives her interpretation of John 3:11-18. She helps us to reflect and remember on several points of faith that develop our relationship to Jesus Christ and encourage us to share our relationship with others.
