070105 Friday Focus - Community Care Network

There is a disparity in health and life expectancy for under-served groups in Alabama. Contact us today to find out how you can help.
Considering the number of people affected by the lack of insurance in our communities, your gift today will allow us to continue our much needed services.  Make a tax-deductible monetary contribution today by clicking on the icon below.
Most of Alabama's Black Belt counties have less than 1 physician for every 1000 people. In Lowndes County, there is 1 physician for 10,000 people.
In each of the Black Belt counties, between 22% and 37% of the population is below the poverty level.
With your help, patients will be able to receive direct treatment and referrals as needed. The Community Care Network doctors and medical volunteers are ready for action!
The Community Care Network (CCN) is a grassroots/community-based, non-profit organization that began in the summer of 2000. Dr. Leon Davis and other physicians, clergy, healthcare professionals, Capital City Medical Society, Montgomery County Health Department, community centers, community leaders and many others joined together as a coalition to evolve a local health ministry.
CCN's mission is to utilize the medical community in union with faith-based organizations, the county health department and various other entities to provide medical screenings, medical education, medical resources and enhanced healthcare access to the uninsured / underinsured, and under-served population.
Our goal is to become the leading force in eliminating health disparities that exist in our community by working with local churches, community centers, and others, to conduct health fairs that promote healthy lifestyles through education, early detection / screening, provision of medical resources and referrals for FREE or low cost healthcare.
Community Care Network needs the help of people like you to sustain all of our efforts.
You may make a donation today Or you may want to get more information about Community Care Network before deciding to make a difference in many people's lives like this.
