How to Raise a Child in the Habit of Doing Justice, Loving Mercy and Walking Humbly with the Lord
Jack Galassini came from Chicago several years ago when he was stationed with the Air Force in Montgomery Alabama. He now hosts “The Time of Your Life” on WSFA Channel 12.
Jack is a devout Roman Catholic and owns and operates Galassini & Associates Advertising in Montgomery. We thank Georgette Davis Sadler, celebrating her 90th birthday ond December 30th, for her inviting Jack to speak for us.
The main focus of Jack’s message is about how we must teach our children to practice a life of faith, works and deeds. He believes that we can raise children on a daily basis with a clear understanding and habit of doing justice, loving mercy and walking humbly with the Lord by keeping a record of proof of their devotion, works and deeds on a calendar. He has created a calendar that records each day’s observed response to those character building disciplines. For instance, faith might be evidenced with prayer, scripture memorization or similar activity. Works might be making up one’s bed, cleaning and/or straightening up one’s room or other chores around the home. Deeds might included helping someone accomplish something, showing kindness or other special conduct that helps or serves others.
