070612 Tuesday Prayer Breakfast with Loretta Grant

Loretta Grant is the owner and publisher of the Tri-County Gazette weekly newspaper of metropolitan Montgomery, Alabama. She is a realtor by trade and a Christian by profession. Her message here is about what our "bio" is to others. This is probably in response to the typical request of organizers and planners for public speaking events who as for a personal biographical statement to use when introducing someone who is going to speak.

Here is a typed in copy of her two page handout for this presentation:

Bio
WHO AM I?
1. I am a saved sinner.
2. I am a born again believer.
3. I am justified by faith and sanctified by the blood of Jesus.
4. I am a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5. I am a child of the King.
6. I have been given eternal life.

WHY AM I HERE?
I was saved to serve.
I was given a vocational calling.

"For it is by grace I have been saved through faith and this not of myself, it is the figt of God not by works, so that I should boast. "For ______ is God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for me to do" (Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV).

"Therefore I am a prisoner of the Lord and wish to walk worthy of the vocation in which I have been called, with all lowliness, meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love. Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, one Spirit, even as I am called in one hope, One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all" (Ephesians 4:1-6 NIV).

"I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVEDE ME AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME" (Galatians 2:20 NIV).

ARE YOU A WITNESS OF THE GOSPEL"

Rules for Holy Living:

2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming. 7 In these you once walked, when you lived in them. 8 But now put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices 10 and have put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. 11 Here there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scyth'ian, slave, free man, but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, 13 forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

- Colossians 3:2-17 RSV

"DEVOTE YOURSELVES TO PRAYER, BEING WATCHFUL AND THANKFUL" COLOSSIANS 4:2.
